Be Careful With My Ube Heart cake
This is my "Be Careful with my Ube Heart" cake. It is an Ube with special fluffy buttercream icing. The celebrant is crazy nuts for "Be Careful with my Heart" pinoy teleserye her Tita Mariza told me. I thought she wanted me to draw out the characters like Jodi Santamaria and Richard Yap but all Tita wanted is the teleserye's logo. I think it turned out better than I thought. I used Wilton tip no. 3 with the purple lettering and Wilton tip no. 5 with the pink lettering. I made an imprint of logo using piping gel and then I piped out the letterings with buttercream icing. (See the "how to transfer images on cakes" tutorial bellow)
I wanted the focus on the top of the cake so I left the icing white. Decorated the sides with rosettes. |
Ima.. I hope you have fun on your 18th brithday in Vancouver and I hope you like your very special cake! |
How to transfer images to cakes tutorial:
Horizontally flip and resize the desired image. Print your image in black and white. Place parchment paper on top of the image. Load a prepared icing bag with a small amount of pipping gel. Using a number 2 Wilton tip trace out the image using a pipping gel. Carefully lift and turn over the traced image. The traced image should be the right orientation and the clean end is facing you. Place the traced image on the center of the cake. Carefully press down on the image. Lift the image off the cake. You should see a transparent image on the cake.
