My designs are often inspired by my daughter's toys. In this case I was inspired by my daughter's ragdollish looking Lalaloopsy doll. I want to invoke the feel of softness of fabric. I do this by adding stitching detail on the swag and the letter blocks. The flowers are bright and cartoonish looking as if they are made with fabric. The Chibi angel looks like a soft and cuddly stuffy. This cake is for a baby girl so I want to have that cuddly and soft feel.
